Skiller Whale offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Software Engineering Coach to guide small groups of software engineers through targeted micro-workshops. In these 90-minute remote sessions, you'll leverage high-quality teaching materials to impart a deep understanding of GenAI and LLMs.
This role goes beyond traditional teaching, requiring a blend of technical mentoring and pairing skills to address complex questions and help learners apply new skills effectively. You'll be instrumental in shaping the capabilities of tech teams, fostering an environment of intelligent, playful learning, and ensuring participants leave with practical, real-world knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1Lead engaging 90-minute remote micro-workshops on GenAI and LLMs.
2Explain basic machine learning concepts to software engineers with various experience levels.
3Provide clear and concise explanations of advanced concepts related to LLM internals and applications.
4Guide learners in prompt engineering, agentic AI, and IDE integrations with AI agents.
5Facilitate hands-on coding with LLMs and assist with debugging and troubleshooting.
6Share real-world expertise and examples to enhance learners' understanding.

Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where participants can ask questions and share insights.
8Prepare for sessions by reviewing provided materials (approximately 30-60 minutes per module).
Requirements
Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on GenAI and LLMs.
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and LLM internals.
Proficiency in prompt engineering, agentic AI, and integrating/pipelining with LLMs.
Experience coding with LLMs and customizing LLM tools.
Excellent communication and explanation skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
Ability to build rapport and create a positive learning environment.
Significant real-world industry experience to provide relevant examples and anecdotes.
Teaching or mentoring experience (formal or informal) is a plus.
